Vivekananda's 150th Birth Anniversary
Community Computer Centre
Swami Vivekananda said, “It would be better if the people got a little technical education, so that they might find work and earn their bread, instead of dawdling about and crying for service.” The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda Volume 5 [Page : 367]
Vivekananda 150 Community Computer Centre was established in 2011 on the occasion of the 150th Birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda for the under-privileged youth of Deoghar and nearby areas especially for those who have discontinued their studies. The students here are being taught the basic computer packages — with both theoretical and practical assignments at a very negligible charge by qualified teachers. The entire computer laboratory is connected on LAN. The Centre has been authorized to teach the CCA (One Year) course by NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling), Government of India.
Every year on an average 30 Students get admitted at the Vivekananda Computer Centre. After completion of their courses, they appear at the Vocational examination – CCA course conducted by NIOS. After passing out, most of the students get themselves engaged in the society for having been trained in the computer centre.
