Harla jori
Harila Jori(also spelled Harla Jori) also sometimes referred to as Harila Jori, situated to the north of Deoghar about 5 kms away from the Baba Baidyanath temple. The site has a Shiva Temple with an old lingam which is replete with a number of legends.
During the ancient days, the place was overgrown with Haritaki trees. According to legends and mythology, the Shivlinga in the temple is believed to have sprouted up from beneath a yellow Myrobalan (Haritakai) tree because of which it is also called “Haritkinath”, since it sprouted by itself its is also known as Swayambhu Lingam.
It was further fabled that here is the place where Ravana handed over the lingam to Lord Vishnu disguised as a shepherd and went for nature’s call. A stream flows here and is known as Ravana Jori. The legends further states that both Shiva and Vishnu met here – hence the name Harla Jori or Hari Hara Jori.

Naulakha Temple
It is located 1.5 km away from the Baba Baidyanath Temple. Inside it are idols of Radha and Krishna. Its height is 146 feet. The amount spent on the construction of the temple was approximately nine lakh rupees (9 lakhs). Therefore, it came to be known as the Nolakha Temple. This amount was entirely donated by Queen Charushila, who belonged to the Pathuria Ghat King family of Kolkata. She lost her husband Akshay Ghosh and son Jatindra Ghosh at an early age. Distraught by death, she left her home and met Saint Balananda Brahmachari who asked her to build this temple.
