  • Naulakha Temple

    A temple dedicated to the Hindu deities Radha and Krishna along with Gopal and Balananda Brahmachari. 

    The temple was built by Rani Charushila, who belonged to the Ghosh family, a Bengali royal family of Pathuriaghata in Kolkata. 
    The architectural design of the temple resembles that of Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math. 

  • Trikut Hill

    It is a scenic pilgrimage and adventure destination in Jharkhand. 
    Famous for its three prominent peaks named after Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh, it rises to 2,470 feet and serves as the origin of the Mayurakshi River. 
     The hill is home to the ancient Trikutachal Mahadeva Temple (a popular Shiva shrine) and the hermitage of Sage Dayananda. Legend also ties it to Ravana's mythological helipad.

  • Tapovan Hill

    A place blessed with the divinity in the surroundings by lord Shiva. The caves of Tapovan were the sacred space for the saints to perform penance. This gave it the name of Tapovan. Many renowned saints and ascetics like Maharishi Valmiki and Sri Balananda Brahmachari did penance in the caves of Tapovan. Even Ravana, the demon scholar chose this place for penance.

    Harila Jori (also spelled Harla Jori) is a highly revered, ancient Hindu mythological site and Shiva temple located in Deoghar, Jharkhand, just 5 km north of the famous Baba Baidyanath Temple. Baba Baidyanath Dham

Baidyanath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located at Deoghar, in the heart of the Jharkhand. The temple complex comprises the central shrine of Baba Baidyanath along with 21 additional temples. It is significant to the Hindu sects of Shaivism as this temple is referred to as one of the 12 JyotirlingasThis is also known as Vaidyanath, Baidhyanath, Baijnath and Vaijnath Dham, is a prominent pilgrimage destination located in the picturesque town of Deoghar. This ancient temple holds immense spiritual significance and attracts thousands of pilgrims from around the world seeking peace, divine blessings and spiritual enlightenment. The serene environment of Deoghar enhances the temple's reputation as a sacred site, known for its spiritual ambience and historical importance.

The Jyotirlinga: A Beacon of Shiva’s Light

Among the 12 Jyotirlingas, Baba Baidyanath holds a special place. It is believed that the Jyotirlinga here is Swayambhu, self-manifested, and has been worshipped since ancient times. The temple complex houses the sacred Jyotirlinga, enshrined in a dimly lit sanctum. The Jyotirlinga is said to have healing powers, earning Lord Shiva the epithet “Baidyanath,” meaning “the Lord of Physicians.”

The Shakti Peetha: A Symbol of Divine Power

The Shakti Peetha at Baba Baidyanath Dham is associated with the legend of Sati, the consort of Lord Shiva. Upon her self-immolation, Shiva, in his grief, carried her body across the land. At each place where her body parts fell, a Shakti Peetha emerged. In Deoghar, it is believed that Sati’s heart fell, making it the Hriday Peeth, or the Heart Shrine. The Shakti Peetha here is dedicated to Jaya Durga, a manifestation of Goddess Parvati. Here Sati is worshipped as Jay Durga and Lord Bhairav as Baidyanath. Within the campus, Jay Durga Shakti Peeth is present exactly opposite to the main temple of Baidyanath. Both the temples are connected by red colored silk ribbon in their tops known as Gathbandhan.

Harla jori

Harila Jori(also spelled Harla Jori) also sometimes referred to as Harila Jori, situated to the north of Deoghar about 5 kms away from the Baba Baidyanath temple. The site has a Shiva Temple with an old lingam which is replete with a number of legends.
During the ancient days, the place was overgrown with Haritaki trees. According to legends and mythology, the Shivlinga in the temple is believed to have sprouted up from beneath a yellow Myrobalan (Haritakai) tree because of which it is also called “Haritkinath”, since it sprouted by itself its is also known as Swayambhu Lingam.
It was further fabled that here is the place where Ravana handed over the lingam to Lord Vishnu disguised as a shepherd and went for nature’s call. A stream flows here and is known as Ravana Jori. The legends further states that both Shiva and Vishnu met here – hence the name Harla Jori or Hari Hara Jori.

Baba Basukinath Temple

Basukinath Temple also known as Baba Basukinath Dham is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the town of Basukinath, Dumka district. 
Believed to be Shiva’s "court" (Faujdari Dham), it forms a vital twin-pilgrimage with Deoghar. 
 It is considered as the sister temple to the Baidyanath Temple in Deoghar, and completing your pilgrimage by visiting both is highly auspicious. 
It is named after a farmer Basu who was a great devotee of Lord Shiva and long ago when the Area of Basukinath then called Daruk forest was facing drought, Basu with his devotion pleased Shiva to reside in Basukinath area to bring rains. This temple premises also consorted with many gods and goddesses like Parvati, Kali, Ganesha, Anand Bhairav etc.

Naulakha Temple

It is located 1.5 km away from the Baba Baidyanath Temple. Inside it are idols of Radha and Krishna. Its height is 146 feet. The amount spent on the construction of the temple was approximately nine lakh rupees (9 lakhs). Therefore, it came to be known as the Nolakha Temple. This amount was entirely donated by Queen Charushila, who belonged to the Pathuria Ghat King family of Kolkata. She lost her husband Akshay Ghosh and son Jatindra Ghosh at an early age. Distraught by death, she left her home and met Saint Balananda Brahmachari who asked her to build this temple.

Trikut Hills

Trikut Pahar, Trikut Hills or Trikutachal, is a Hindu pilgrimage site located approximately 15 km from Deoghar, in the Mohanpur Block of Deoghar District, Jharkhand, India, en route to Dumka. Named for its three prominent peaks
("tri-" meaning three), the hill rises to an elevation of 2,470 feet. Revered for its spiritual significance, Trikut Hill attracts devotees and visitors seeking its serene landscapes and panoramic views, making it a cherished natural and cultural landmark in Jharkhand.
Trikut Pahar is a place for Pilgrimage. In dense forest on the uphill lies the famous Trikutachal Mahadeva Temple and the hermitage of Sage Dayananda. Trikut Hills contain three peaks and the Highest Peak goes to the height of 2470 ft from the Sea Level and around about 1500 ft from the ground.

Tapovan Hill

Blessed with the divinity in the surroundings by Lord Shiva, Tapovan Caves and Hills are places that a person cannot afford to miss while traveling around Deoghar. The caves of Tapovan were the sacred space for the saints to perform penance. This gave it the name of Tapovan. Many renowned saints and ascetics like Maharishi Valmiki and Sri Balananda Brahmachari did penance in the caves of Tapovan. Even Ravana, the demon scholar chose this place for penance. Below the hill, there is a small Kund (water – body) called Sita Kunda through the local community. It is a holy water body. It is stated that Sita used to take a bath here.
